The Emakoko
The Emakoko is a family owned and run lodge, artfully built into the side of a valley on the Mbagathi River, which borders the Nairobi National Park. It is located a short 45-minute ride from both airports in Nairobi.
Five rooms are located on the same level as the airy main dining and lounde area and a further five rooms are at the top of the lodge, perched on the cliff overlooking the valley and with the most spectacular views. All are en-suite and bautifully furnished with contemporary Africa flair in rich chocolate browns, creamy beiges and crisp white linens. Deep, comforatbale chairs nestle around your own fireplace.
Whether you are enjoying a cocktail in the viewing area or simply a coffee by the pool overlooking the river, relaxation is assured.
The Park is home to lion, leopard and rhino, all of which range within a stone’s throw of camp, while hippo and impala are known to frequent the lodge’s grounds.
